Their albums been out nearly 2 weeks and charted at number 8. They've had plenty of airtime on Radio 1 and have come third in the BBC Sound of 2010. And most importantly my brother doesn't like them. Must be a quality band then!

As with Ellie Goulding, the first time I saw Delphic was on Jools Holland. The line-up had bigger 'stars' than the show that featured Goulding, however Delphic were still the best act on a show which featured the likes of Joss Stone and Steve Martin (yes, the comedian!). They seem to be able to mix synths, guitars and vocals effortlessly.

Doubt which was also on Jools Holland was their third mainstream release and one which had me addicted for weeks. Their next single is called Halcyon and can be seen below, being played live on Jools Holland;

On a separate note the BBC Sound of 2010 was won this year by Ellie Goulding and the previous year's number 3 was Florence and the Machine so this is an award to watch each January.
