You may have heard Ellie Goulding's 'Under The Sheets' getting some airtime on Radio 1. The 23 year old is looking to have a bright future following on from the copious other blonde starlets of the last 12 months.
Her brand of music is fairly different from the likes of Pixie Lott and Lady Gaga, who are very much main stream pop but she shares some similarities with Little Boots, both using a lot of synthesizers and having a much edgier sound. To enter what is already a relatively saturated market for 20-something females is always a difficult prospect to making a niche and making herself unique will be paramount to Miss Goulding's success. The test big will come when her first album, Lights, is released on the March 1st.
