Right, straight to business. The subject matter of this blog is not really what can be considered hip hop, the only real similarities are the lyrics, often spoken word, by the band's lead vocalist Jonny 'Itch' Fox.


Nowadays there seems to be an unrelenting need to classify a band or artist with a very specific label. The King Blues are a typically considered a punk band, though they adopt influences from a wide array of other genres. Ska, reggae and folk are just a few of the music forms to have been represented throughout their first two album's, 'Under the Fog' and 'Save the World, Get the Girl'. On May 16th they will release their latest single, 'Headbutt'. It displays the continuing evolution of their sound, more rock oriented. The video for the single is below.
