There is no argument about the first thing you notice when laying eyes upon Common Market front man, RA Scion.
It's his size, a broad imposing frame. Your attention is then drawn towards his almost menacing appearance, shaven headed with a thick mass of facial hair, heavily tattooed and pierced, all this counterbalanced with the stereotypical look of intelligence achieved when donning a pair of spectacles (you need only examine the mans lyrical content to realise that this assumption of intelligence is incredibly well placed). It's safe to say that it is a fairly calculated look, intimidating and serious. So what could possibly have possessed this man to celebrate the release of his latest project by prancing about on stage wearing a red cape?

The answer to this question will have villains everywhere quaking in their boots. RA Scion has a crime fighting alter-ego, Victor Shade!

On a more explanatory note, Victor Shade is the MC's latest 'concept' project, produced by MTK. The idea apparently manifested itself after the death of RA's brother in law, Jimmy. An avid comic book fan, he once used his knowledge of the graphic novel world to create a list for close friends and family members, detailing which superhero's he felt they resembled most. RA was given Victor Shade, the alter ego of Marvel Comics, 'The Vision'. After Jimmy's death, RA decided to take on the alias as a tribute to his departed brother in law.

MTK's accompanying production is more aggressive and heavy than what fan's of RA Scion will be accustomed to hearing, however, the MC still faultlessly produces his articulate and engaging rhyme style. A video has been released for the album's first single. It's called 'Soothsayer'. Have a listen!
