There is a common trait amongst hip hop acts, one where artists releases a series of albums or EP's under the same title, each given only a number to distinguish them from one another.
Atmosphere are currently up to 13 in their sequence of 'Sad Clown Bad Dub' releases. Doomtree have reached 'False Hopes' 15. 'Special Herb's', the instrumental work of MF Doom has produced 10 volumes. On the 18th of January 2011, one of hip hop's most prolific rapper/producers, Madlib, will release the 11th installment of his 'Medicine Show' series, under the sub title; 'Low Budget Hi Fi Music'.
Pre release descriptions state that the album will feature collaborations with the likes of MED, Guilty Simpson and Strong Arm Steady. More intriguing though, is the announcement that a track originally intended for the second Jaylib release, before J Dilla's untimely death in 2006, will be on the release.
The first track from the album is called 'Interview #4080', featuring Karriem Riggins.
