At this time of year, most people are anticipating the January sales, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to purchase a desired piece of merchandise for a significantly lower price than before Christmas. However, one such sought after desirable that you will not see dropping in price this new year is 'Apollo Kids', the highly praised 9th studio album from Wu-Tang stalwart Ghostface Killah.
The album has only been out since the 21st of December and is already being touted as a classic, with many reviews stating that it should be held in the same regard as Ghost's critically acclaimed previous releases, Supreme Clientele (2000) and Fishscale (2006). After listening to the album I agree entirely, it epitomises the gritty hardcore rap of a Wu-Tang Clan member. Ghost sound's focused, raw and energetic, rapidly delivering vivid brassy lyrics that seem to hit you square in the face (in a good way). As usual there is a whole host of guest appearances from Wu-Tang affiliates.
Below is track 10 from the album, it's called 'Street Bullies' and features Shawn Wiggs, Sheek Louch and Sun God.
